We use 5/8" melamine covered particleboard for all cabinet sides, floors, tops and adjustable shelves are ¾" melamine to ensure strength and durability. Front edges of shelving and cabinets are banded with PVC edge tape for a concealed edge. All cabinets have a ¼" hardboard back, dadoed into the top and bottom as well as into the side. Hanger rails are 4" raw particleboard recessed behind the cabinet back and are doweled to the side cabinet and fastened to the floors for increased durability.

Every Decor standard drawer box starts with 5/8" melamine-covered particleboard and is constructed with 8mm dowels and glue for extra durability. The ¼" hardboard floor of each drawer is fitted into a dado on all four sides for strength and durability.

Decor is known for its maple dovetail drawer box all standard drawers can receive this handcrafted upgrade. Dovetail joints are carefully cut into the 5/8” solid maple. Each dovetail joint is individually inspected and hand sanded, ensuring a perfect fit. The drawer bottom is made of 1/4" maple which is fitted into a dado on all four sides for strength and durability.
