- It takes at least 10 steps to create one of our quality standard finishes and up to 25 steps to create our designer finishes.
- Decor Cabinets starts with the best finishing materials available.
- Each piece is sanded numerous times at the raw wood stage and is given a final hand-sanding and inspection before being sent to finishing.
- Toners are used where necessary to blend any natural variations in the color of the wood.
- Furniture stains are applied and hand-wiped to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
- A catalyzed sealer is applied to seal the wood from moisture.
- Each piece is run through an oven at specific stages to dry the finish and ensure a thorough adhesion to the wood.
- All pieces are hand sanded between finish coats to ensure that the product continues to maintain its smooth texture.
- All products are given a final inspection before the top coat is applied.
- To provide the best possible protection, a satin top coat of catalyzed varnish is used.
- All finishes provided by Decor Cabinets Ltd. are very easy to clean and are resistant to most household chemicals. (see "Cabinet Care" for more information.)
